KATHMANDU: The Nepali Army has set a world record by playing 555 madals, a traditional Nepali drum, at one time.

The Nepal representative of World Books of Records handed over the certificate of the record set by the Army to COAS Prabhuram Sharma.

Nepal representative of the organization, Sagar Katuwal, handed over the certificate for setting a world record for playing 555 madals at a single time on February 16.

Madal is one of the most widely used musical instruments in Nepal.
