KAILALI: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Bishnu Prasad Poudel, has said the present ruling coalition was formed in favor of country, people, development and prosperity.

Inaugurating the province-level orientation ‘Mission Grassroots’ organized by the CPN (UML) Sudurpaschim Province at Dhangadhi on Friday, DPM Poudel opined that the CPN (UML) had wanted to give continuity to the present ruling coalition for five years.

On the occasion, he shared that the campaign ‘Mission Grassroots’ was forwarded with an objective of reconstituting the party in terms of ideology, organizational strengthening and expansion. DPM Poudel mentioned that the CPN (UML) had made decisive contribution in the national politics by forming a power coalition and taking initiative after then five-party alliance failed to form the government.

He further said there would be a candidate of the CPN (UML) on behalf of the present power coalition for the election to the post of President.

Party Secretary Lekhraj Bhatta, standing committee members—Karna Thapa, Binda Pandey, politburo members- Ganesh Thagunna, Rajendra Singh Rawal, Naradmuni Rana, Niru Pal, among others were present in the program chaired by CPN (UML) Sudurpaschim Province Chairperson and Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari.
