NC PP leader Shah appointed Sudurpaschim Chief Minister

Nepali Congress (NC) has made a comeback to province government with Sudurpaschim province parliamentary party leader Kamal Bahadur Shah being appointed the Chief Minister on Thursday. Earlier, CPN-UML lawmaker Rajendrasingh Rawal lost his post of Chief Minister failing to receive a vote of confidence on Thursday.

PM Dahal calls for effective implementation of Constitution

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has urged all for the true implementation of the constitution, as the political system and the constitutional document, he said, are for the overall welfare of people. He made this remark at an event organised here today to present the preliminary findings of a study on electoral reforms, jointly by the Election Commission and the Policy Research Institute.

PM Dahal and UML Chairman Oli hold talks at Singha Durbar

Amid increasing distrust in the ruling coalition, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and CPN-UML President KP Oli held talks at Singha Durbar on Thursday afternoon. CIB arrests 15 people involved in killing rhinos, smuggling rhino horms

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police has arrested 15 people involved in rhino killing and smuggling rhino horns. CIB arrested two people along with a rhino horn from Saraswatinagar in Chabahil, Kathmandu last week.

Industry Minister vows to help grow industrial sector

Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, has said the government was moving ahead with a determination to transform national challenges into opportunities. He said that the government was serious for the promotion of the industrial sector.

Maoist Center to change name and election symbol

The Maoist Center has decided to change the party’s name and election symbol. Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, who is also the Prime Minister, proposed a radical change in the name, election symbols and structure of the party during the Maoist Standing Committee meeting held recently.

Bibeksheel Sajha Party holding general convention from Friday

Land administration to be made IT-friendly

The Ministry of Land Management and Cooperatives has put forth a plan to gradually transform the offices of land revenue and survey into IT-enabled service delivery hub. In order to transform the traditional record-keeping and service delivery system into digital, the ministry came up with the plan.
