Nepal beats India 3-1 to enter SAFF U-20 Women Championship Tournament

DHAKA: Nepal has entered into the final in SAFF U-20 Women Championship Football Tournament.

Nepal defeated India in the SAFF championship tournament underway in Bangladesh to reach the final. Nepal had beaten India 3-1 in today’s match in Dhaka.

Anjali Chand, Preeti Rai and Amisha Karki scored each for Nepal. Apoorna Narjary netted a goal in the 21st minute to put India in lead in the first half. But, Nepal made three maiden goals in the second half to reverse the results.

Chand made a first goal for Nepal to equalize the match 1-1 in the 48th minute. Captain Rai scored second goal in penalty in the 69th minute. Karki secured third goal in the 89 minute to ensure the victory of the team.

Nepal along with host Bangladesh, India and Bhutan are participating in the tournament.
