NC Vice-President Gurung pledges to perform to improve people’s lives

KATHMANDU: Vice-President of the Nepali Congress (NC), Dhanraj Gurung, has urged the elected-people’s representatives to boost up their performances.

At a program organized at Waling-8, BP Chowk today to thank the voters of Syangja constituency-2, he said profound responsibility has come to their shoulders to prove them through performance.

“Citizens are more conscious now. They have wider understanding. There is public perception that leaders speak much and work little”, Gurung said, adding, “In the ongoing five-year tenure, we should perform in a more tangible way. Public would trust us only when we perform to show concrete results. Otherwise, they would perceive us as non-performing representatives like others”.

He also pledged to work in a way to carry out development works in the constituency and improve the lives of the people.

“The promises made before the voters during the election would be materialized into actions”, the NC Vice-President claimed.

He added that the leaders’ credibility has been waning due to their tendency of talking much and performing less.

Also on the occasion, Gandaki province assembly members Bhojraj Aryal and Kalpana Tiwari expressed their commitments to fully implement the election manifesto they came up at the time of the election held in 20 November 2022.

The federal and provincial parliamentary members had reached out to the doorsteps of the voters to show gratefulness for their votes.
