Govt makes it mandatory to include MoFA reps during meetings of sitting ministers with the foreign reps



KATHMANDU: The Council of Ministers has decided to enforce the mandatory provision for all ministers to have representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) while holding meetings with the representatives of foreign countries.

A cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday made a decision to this effect, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel.

Paudel said that the cabinet meeting decided that when the ministers meet representatives of foreign countries, it is mandatory to have a representative of the MoFA.
