KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Federal Parliament has been postponed till 1 pm today (Tuesday).

Earlier, the meeting was scheduled for 11:00 a.m.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is taking a vote of confidence in today’s meeting of the parliament.

According to Article 76(4) of the Constitution, a vote of confidence must be taken within 30 days of the appointment of the Prime Minister.

Prachanda has garnered support of CPN-UML, Maoist Center, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi Party, Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and some independent parliamentarians.

The Unified Socialist Party has also decided to give a “conditional” vote of confidence to Prime Minister Dahal.
