Leader Nepal holds NC responsible for ‘left-democratic coalition’ break up

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has blamed Nepali Congress (NC) for the Left-Democratic coalition  break-up.

Addressing he inaugural session of the Newa Rastriya Sangh in Kathmandu on Saturday, the Unified Socialist Chair said that the latest twist in the political arena and breaking up of the NC-led coalition was all due to NC leaders’ arrogance and selfishness.

He accused NC of not keeping the election promises.

Chairman Nepal said that his party would decide whether to support the Prachanda-led government or not by looking at the common minimum program of the government.

He revealed that most of the leaders and the sister organizations of the party are of the opinion that Unified Socialist should not join the government right now.

Confessing that the party could not get as much votes as it expected, Chairman Nepal urged all leaders and cadres to re-establish the party committees to the ground level and work to meet the expectations of the people.
