KATHMANDU: Bagmati State Assembly session has been called for January 2.

Chief of Bagmati Province, Yadav Chandra Sharma, called the session of the Provincial Assembly at 1 pm on Monday.

There is a constitutional provision that the head of the state calls a meeting of the state assembly on the recommendation of the state government.

Senior Member of Parliament Ram Prasad Dhungana will preside over the meeting of the Provincial Assembly.

He took the oath of office and secrecy as the senior-most member on Wednesday.
