Charles Sobhraj appeals jail administration to keep himself away from media



KATHMANDU: Notorious as a serial killer Charles Sobraj has requested the Central Jail administration in Kathmandu to keep him away from the media.

According to central jail sources, Sobhraj said that he did not want to talk to media and would not like to be photographed as well.

The prison administration is bringing him to the immigration department today. Immigration has prepared to return him to France after consulting his passport and other documents.

Sobhraj, who has been serving a 19-year prison sentence in Nepal, was ordered to be released by the Supreme Court last Wednesday.

He has requested to be allowed to stay at Hyatt Hotel saying some of his French friends are at the Hyatt and he wants to spend some days with them.
