COVID-19 case shrinking in Nepal, country sees one new case in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: COVID-19 cases are shrinking in Nepal of late. The country recorded only one new case of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

The confirmed one case was detected through the RT-PCR method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 923 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 360 were tested through RT-PCR method and 563 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 79 active cases in the country as 14 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,019 to date.
