Bagmati Province records 42,007 dengue patients so far



KATHMANDU: More than 42,000 people have been infected with dengue in Bagmati Province so far.

According to the Health Directorate of Bagmati Province, the number of dengue patients has reached 42,007 till today from last week of July in the province.

Kathmandu district recorded the highest number of dengue patients while Rasuwa district recorded least number.

A total of 11,127 have been infected from dengue in Kathmandu and 11 in Rasuwa.

Likewise, 9,603 dengue patients have been found in Lalitpur, 5,822 Makawanpur, 1,124 in Bhaktapur, 3,159 in Chitwan, 1,600 in Dhading, 536 in Kavre, 234 in Ramechhap, 209 in Sindhupalchowk, 273 in Nuwakot, 170 in Sindhuli and 104 in Dolakha, according to the Directorate.

A total of 23 people lost their lives from dengue in the province so far.
