Meeting of ruling coalition underway at Baluwatar



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the ruling coalition is underway at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar.

This is the first meeting of the ruling coalition after the November 20 election.

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, United Socialist Chairman Madhav Nepal, and other leaders are in the meeting.

NC senior leaders Ram Chandra Paudel, Purna Bahadur Khadka, Prakash Sharan Mahat, and senior Vice Chairman of Maoist Center Narayankaji Shrestha, and Durga Paudel from Rastriya Janamorcha are also participating in the meeting, a Baluwatar source said.

The meeting has been called to review the outcome of the election, and the formation of the next government.

Meanwhile, leaders of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) are not attending the meeting.
