Janmat Party sets three conditions to join NC-led coalition



KATHMANDU: Immediately after the news about power sharing agreement between Nepali Congress (NC) and CK-Raut-led Janamat Party was published, Janamat Party leader BP Shah has clarified that his party has set three conditions as the minimum criteria for sharing the ruling coalition with NC.

“There has been no formal agreement about joining the ruling coalition yet,” leader Shah said on Thursday evening, “We have set three conditions and will decided about he next government only after being ensured that our agendas will be addressed.”

According to Shah, the Janamat Party Chair reiterated on addressing the problems of farmers, the amendment of citizenship bill, and the employment generation within the country as the preconditions for joining NC-led coalition.

“Dr. Raut and PM Deuba met in Baluwatar today; our Chairman put three conditions before the government and no agreement has been made yet,” leader Shah added.

Earlier, NC leader Bimalendra Nidhi had shared a post on Twitter on Thursday claiming that Janamat Party agreed to join NC-led coalition.
