Re-polling taking place in 10 polling centers of Dolakha today



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) is set to conduct election in 10 polling centers of Dolakha today.

According to Chief Returning Officer Dilliratna Shrestha, necessary preparation for the election to be held on December 1 has completed.

He further informed that there are as many as 8,000 voters in four booths. A meeting of the Election Commission held on November 27 had decided to conduct re-polling after cancelling the election held in seven polling centers on November 20.

It may be noted that the Election Commission cancelled the election held at Baiteswor Secondary School polling center a, b and c of Baiteswor rural municipality-6, polling center a and b of Janajyoti Secondary School, Putali Kaath in ward-2 and Jafe polling center a and b in Tamakoshi rural municipality-3 health post building.

Likewise, the EC decided to conduct re-polling after cancelling the elections held in Kalidhunga secondary school polling center a, b and c in Baiteswor-3.

The EC has directed the Office of the Chief Returning Officer, Dolakha for conducting re-polling in the three polling centers on the same day (December 1).
