‘How could Paudel’s hand be fractured in seven places if killed in confrontation?’

KATHMANDU: Former Home Minister Janardan Sharma accused the government of provoking Biplav outfit by putting a ban on it.

Sharma leveled allegations against the government in a meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the Parliament today. Meanwhile, he urged the government to resolve the problem by bringing all sides into talks at the earliest.

He also ruled out the necessity to ban Biplav group.

The government’s statement that Sarlahi in-charge Kumar Paudel was killed in a confrontation with the police is unconvincing, said Paudel, inquiring, “How Paudel’s hand could be broken in seven places if he were killed in confrontation?”

Earlier, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa stated that Paudel had been killed in confrontation with the police.
