KATHMANDU: There is a likelihood of light rain and snowfall today due to the influence of the Westerly wind, the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, said.
Meteorologist at the Division, Heera Bhattarai said that light rain and snowfall is likely today as well as tomorrow due to the impact of the Westerly wind.
“Cold will increase as mercury will dip due to snowfall and this might have general impact on life,” she said, adding that the weather will be affected somewhat from this evening but more impact would be felt in the western part of the country.
The likelihood of rain and snowfall is more in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.
Similarly, light rain will take place in Province no 1, Gandaki province, Sudurpaschim province and Karnali province with chances of light snowfall in the high mountain region of these provinces.
Likewise, there is possibility of light snowfall at one or two places of the mountainous region of Gandaki province, Karnali province and Sudurpascbhhim province.
