Maoist Center to release its poll manifesto on Monday



KATHMANDU: The CPN Maoist Center is set to unveil its election manifesto for on Monday.

Maoist Center Office Secretary Dor Prasad Upadhyay said the poll manifesto would be made public at 3 pm at the party’s central office in Parisdanda tomorrow.

The Maoists had formed a manifesto-drafting committee under the leadership of Senior Vice-Chair Narayankaji Shrestha.

The Maoists have batted for a directly elected president and a fully proportional election system in the manifesto.

Similarly, a member of the manifesto drafting committee said socialist-oriented economy was also described in the manifesto.
