Nepal sees 53 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 53 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases, 50 were detected through the RT-PCR method and three through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,571 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

As many as 798 samples were tested through RT-PCR method and 773 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 727 active cases in the country as 51 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,018 to date.
