Sarlahi bus mishap injures 23, two in critical condition



SARLAHI: 23 people were injured when a bus with 33 passengers overturned in Ishwarpur Municipality-12,Banke of Sarlahi district this morning.

The condition of two people injured in the accident is critical.

The three-year-old Prince Bohora, the daughter of bus driver Deepak Bohora, and 21-year-old co-driver Pradeep Puri of Jhapa’s Mechinagar Municipality-7, have been sent to Jhapa for treatment.

Other injured are undergoing treatment at Gadhimai Hospital.

According to the Sarlahi police, the bus (Ba 4Kh 3378), which was going from Kakdvitta to Bhairahwa, went out of control and overturned at 3 am this morning.

9 people who were injured in the accident have returned home after treatment.

Sarlahi police has taken the bus driver in custody for further investigation about the accident.
