UML withdraws candidacy in Chitwan-3; to support NC rebel candidate



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has withdrawn its candidacy from Chitwan-3. UML withdrew its candidacy and supported the rebel candidate of the ruling coalition.

UML got its candidate Ram Prasad Neupane’s candidacy back to support NC rebel candidate Dinesh Koirala.

Koirala presented his candidacy against the coalition candidate Dr. Bhojraj Adhikari.

Dr. Adhikari is from the CPN-Maoist Center.

Earlier, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ was planning to contest from Chitwan.

However, Prachanda left Chitwan and filed his candidacy from Gorkha-2.
