President Bhandari discharged from hospital



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has been discharged from hospital today (Tuesday) after medical treatment.

The Head-of-State was admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital on Saturday for COVID-19 infection.

She was discharged at 12:45 pm after improvement in health condition, said Hospital’s information officer Ram Bikram Adhikari.

He added that fever and other health indicators of the President are normal.

President Bhandari was admitted to TUTH Annex Ward No 601 on October 8 after she was afflicted by cough and cold, and fever.

A PCR test on the President confirmed coronavirus infection.

A team of doctors led by Dr Niraj Bom was involved in the President’s treatment.
