Police make three arrests in Lal Mohammad murder case



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons in connection to the murder of Mohammad Darji, 58, in Gothatar of Kageshwari Manohara-8 on September 19.

Issuing a press statement, District Police Range, Kathmandu, said it has arrested Mahoram Miyan, 21, of Birgunj-16 of Parsa, Rehan Miyan, 19, of Birgunj-15 of Parsa, and Susmita Syangtang, 21, of Bakaiya-1 of Makwanpur presently living in Faika of Kapan, Kathmandu.

The investigation against the three is underway, according to the police.

The assailants, who came on a motorcycle, shot Darji right after he got off a car near his house at around 6:31 pm. He had succumbed to injuries at around 9:35 pm.

Police had nabbed an American pistol, four rounds of 3.9 mm bullets, and four rounds of 2.9 mm bullet shells.
