Couples likely to have joint land ownership



KATHMANDU: The government is planning to obligate married men to mention the name of their spouses in the land registration certificate, reported The Himalayan Times.

The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has proposed to do in its 15th Period Plan, the report says.

Once the plan comes into effect, the married couple will have joint ownership of land.
