RPP gives full shape to Election Mobilization Committee



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Central Committee (CC) of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has concluded by giving full shape to election committee on Thursday.

From the CC meeting, the RPP has given full shape to the Central Election Mobilization Committee under the leadership of Chairman Rajendra Lingden.

The Election Mobilization Committee comprises former chairmen Lokendra Bahadur Chand, Pashupati Shumsher Rana and Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani, CC members, office bearers, chairs of all seven provinces, central members, heads of departments and heads of fraternal organizations.

General Secretary Rajendra Gurung has been made the secretary of the election mobilization committee.

Similarly, provincial election committees has been formed under the coordination of the provincial chairs and district election committees under the coordination of district chairs.

Likewise, the RPP central committee meeting also formed election finance committee under the coordination of Treasurer Nilakant Kafle and Central Election Campaign Committee under the coordination of RPP Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha.

The meeting also discussed candidates selection for the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly towards first-past-the-post system and directed the provincial chairmen to submit suggestions at earliest after coordinating with the districts under their respective provinces.

The meeting has called for unity and cooperation with like-minded people ahead of the elections, keeping in mind the need for a strong nationalist democratic force in the country.
