UML holding Secretariat meeting; to finalize PR candidates’ list

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML said it will finalize the list of the party’s candidates under the Proportional Representation (PR) today for the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives and State Assembly.

Prithvi Subba Gurung, deputy head of the UML publicity department, said that a meeting of the party’s Secretariat held on Saturday decided to finalize the names of the PR candidates on Sunday.

Party leader Shankar Pokhrel said that the basis of the selection of PR candidates will be made according to the guidelines of the Election Commission.

The party discussed creating a list of 110 candidates for the HoR and 220 candidates for the State Assembly considering the various criteria, inclusion and clusters.
