Bhimdatta highway blocked due to landslides



KAILALI: The Bhimdatta highway has been blocked due to landslides triggered by continuous rain for the past three days.

The highway remains blocked in various locations from Khanidanda in Kailali to Bhatkada in Dadeldhura.

According to the Sudurpaschim Province Traffic Police Office, Attaria, debris of landslides have been removed up to Sahajpur area of Kailali using dozers while the work of removing the debris is underway in other places.

After removing the obstruction in Khanidanda of Kailali, the traffic has resumed till Sahajpur.

The work of removing the landslide debris in locations falling in Dadeldhura side is also going on, police said.
