Himani Trust donates educational materials to over 3,700 students of Gorkha

KATHMANDU: Himani Trust, a non-profit and apolitical non-governmental organisation, has donated educational materials and medical equipment to over 3,700 students in Gorkha district.

The beneficiaries belong to 40 students in Gorkha Municipality, Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality, Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality, Palungtar Municipality and Dharche Rural Municipality, said the program coordinator for the Trust, Mohasin Alimiya.

The distributed materials include exercise books, color boxes, stationery boxes, pens, health bags, lunchboxes, water bottles, facemasks, soaps, toothpastes, toothbrushes, bandages and friendship cards.

The China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, a charity organization based in China, provided the materials for the Trust that was established in 2010 under the leadership of former crown princess Himani Shah.
