Seat allocation among alliance parties will be done in a fair manner: Minister Karki



KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, has said the distribution of seats among the ruling alliance parties for the elections of House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly would be done in a fair manner.

The HoR and Province Assembly election is scheduled on November 20. At a program organized to congratulate and honor the newly elected office bearers and members of the Nepal Press Union Central Committee here today, Minister Karki, mentioned that the matter of seat distribution among the ruling alliance parties has moved ahead in a positive manner and it would reach to the conclusion soon.

Stating that alliance was necessary to head the country towards the path of constitution and prosperity, he shared that the alliance was formed to save the constitution and democracy.

The Communications Minister opined, “Ideologies of the alliance parties are different. But we have same opinion for country’s sovereignty, democracy and people’s welfare. The alliance was not formed against anyone.”

He further said that the government was committed to hold HoR and Province Assembly elections in a free and fearless environment on November 20. They have been working to make the country prosperous and civilized within next 10 years, said Minister Karki.
