Madhes Province Chief Attorney Jha resigns



KATHMANDU: Chief Attorney of Madhes Province Dipendra Jha has resigned from his post on Saturday.

Jha said he submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut.

Jha became the chief attorney after the formation of Madhes Province government and remained in this position for five consecutive years.

Jha, meanwhile, is preparing for the House of Representatives election from Mahottari Constituency No 3.

Jha is also joining the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) on Saturday itself.

JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav confirmed that Jha was to join the party.

Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) Chairman Mahantha Thakur was elected from Mahottari-3 in the 2017 election.
