HK leader Lam says sorry again

HONG KONG: Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam on Tuesday apologized saying she had heard the people ‘loud and clear’, media reports have said.

She apologized on Tuesday following some violent protests in the Chinese-ruled city of Hong Kong against an extradition bill, which she had promoted.

The bill, as protesters said, will allow case-by-case extraditions from Hong Kong to mainland China. Protestors have been demanding that Lam scrap the bill and step down.
