Two ministers take oath in Karnali province



KARNALI: Two newly-appointed ministers of Karnali province took oath of office and secrecy on Monday.

Province Chief Tilak Pariyar administered oath of office and secrecy to Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Krishna Shah and Minister for Water Resources and Energy Development Rato Kami.

Earlier today, Chief Minister of Karnali province Jeevan Bahadur Shahi had appointed the two as the ministers of the Karnali province.

The CPN Maoist Center had recalled the party leaders Bindaman Bista and Ganesh Prasad Singh from their ministerial portfolio to replace them with Shah and Kami.

The newly-elected Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Shah was elected under the proportional electoral system from Jajarkot and Kami from Rukum Paschim under the first past the post system for the Karnali provincial assembly.
