Ten Nepalis hurt in jeep accident in India



KATHMANDU: Ten Nepalis were injured when a jeep en route to Khatima from Banbasa, India, met with an accident on Monday.

India’s Banbasa market lies along the Nepal-India border in Kanchanpur.

According to the Gaddachauki-based Area Police Office, it was reported that the jeep with the Indian number plate met with the accident near the Chakarpur-based police station.

Radha Dayal and Jit Bahadur Dayal of Sukasal, Hem Ojha and Deepak Ojha of Kanchanpur, Chandra, Shanu, Baldev Singh, Khem Bahadur, Laxmi and Sharada are leant to have been wounded in the accident and among them, some are said to be critically hurt.

The Indian police informed the Office that they are being treated in a government health facility based in Khatima.
