Amid obstruction, 186 garbage trucks reach Bancharedanda on Tuesday

KATHMANDU: Despite obstacles from locals, 186 vehicles carrying garbage from Kathmandu reached Bancharedanda of Nuwakot district on Tuesday.

Kathmandu Metropolitan Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) urged Bancharedanda locals not to obstruct the trucks since the KMC does not want to use force for waste management.

“No one should face problems while managing waste. This is our commitment. We are sincere, conscious and sensitive in our commitment,” he said.

The trucks carrying garbage were obstructed on the way the whole day on Tuesday. Later in the evening, the trucks could reach the landfill site in Bancharedanda.
