361 persons benefitted from mobile service camp



BAGLUNG: A total of 361 persons benefitted from the mobile service camp organized by Baglung Municipality at Bhakunde in the district.

The people got the services, such as free health check-up and medicine distribution, financial literacy, identity cards for disabled persons, project contracts, and soil test from the mobile service camp.

Baglung-10 Ward Chairperson Til Bahadur Thapa informed that contracts for 16 projects were signed during the comp.

All projects contracted during the camp opened their bank accounts. Similarly, as many as 151 persons received free health check-up and treatment.

Among them, 67 women had their uterus tested and treated. Total 104 persons underwent tests for diabetes.

Most of the people received health check up, especially on high blood pressure and orthopedics.

Even the number of women receiving gynecological service was significant, according to public health inspector at municipality, Ram Prasad Khanal.

Moreover, 30 persons including the new ones were provided identity cards as disabled persons.

Among them, 15 disabled ones are categorized ‘A’, 10 ‘B’ and five ‘C’ in their identity cards.

The agricultural technicians from the camp reached farmers’ fields and tested soil.

The soils from 15 spots covering 40 ropanis of land were tested on the occasion.

Chief of municipal agriculture section, Rahul KC, informed that most of the places had acidic soils.

Orientation was provided on financial literacy to forty-five persons.

Even the 15-member child-friendly local governance ward committees were formed to meet the indicators before announcing child friendly municipality.
