NC ‘mandates’ party President Deuba for formal nomination of candidates

KATHMANDU: The Central Work Execution Committee (CWEC) meeting of the ruling Nepali Congress has mandated party President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to formally send the candidate nomination letter to the candidates based on the criteria set by the party.

The CWEC meeting held at the party office Sanepa on Saturday morning made five different decisions related to the general election.

The meeting decided to assign President Deuba the responsibility to provide ‘formal letter of candidate nomination’ to the candidates nominated by the party.

Similarly, it decided to register the party at the Election Commission and assign this responsibility to Central Office Chief Secretary Poudel.

NC decided to conduct election-centered nationwide campaign from August 26 to September 9.
