Nepal sees 553 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 553 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 451 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 102 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,789 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,040 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,749 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,659 active cases in the country as 433 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No death due to the coronavirus was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country remains constant at 11,971 to date.
