NC leader Thapa directs party leaders, cadres to work for NC victory in coming election



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa has directed party leaders and cadres to be prepared to award victory to the party in the November 20 federal and provincial elections.

The NC should secure a win across the country including both constituencies in Bhaktapur in the polls, he stressed at an event organized in Balkot, Bhaktapur by the Shyam Bahadur Memorial Foundation on the occasion of the 15th memorial day of late Shyam Bahadur Karki.

Similarly, NC leader Gururaj Ghimire stressed the need for political leaders to get resolutions to bring positive changes for the country and people after elections. He referred to the country lacking tangible achievements even when it has been 32 years since the restoration of democracy.

Other speakers including NC leaders, Rama Koirala, Jit Jung Basnet, Surendra KC, Durlav Thapa and Bishnu Raj Karki underscored the need for the NC to come together for the polls.

On the occasion, Foundation Chair Bishnu Raj Karki handed over school bags, copies, as well as other stationery material s to 92 students of a local Ganesh Basic School. A total of 64 people had donated blood on the occasion.
