Woman dies in tusker attack



KATHMANDU: A woman was killed after a wild elephant attacked her in the Dakchhinkali community forest at Bharatpur Metropolitan City in Chitwan on Friday noon.

The deceased has been identified as Maya BK, 51, of Devnagar of the metropolis-6.

She had gone to the forest to collect fodder when the attack took place, said Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, Information Officer at the Chitwan National Park.

A team from the CNP and Chitwan police has been deployed in the incident site, he said.
