Nepal sees 912 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 912 new cases of coronavirus and one COVID-related death in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 529 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 393 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 6,491 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,941 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 3,550 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,760 active cases in the country as 370 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One death due to the coronavirus was recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbs to 11,970 to date.
