Rain damages Araniko Highway affecting transportation

SINDHUPALCHOWK: The road under the Araniko Highway at Daklang in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-4 has caved in due to incessant rain, affecting transportation.

As a result, trucks and containers heading to China through Tatopani have been stranded, it has been said.

Repair of the damaged road in coordination with the Department of Roads has started, said the police.

Passage for small and light vehicles has been allowed, however, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Dakshya Kumar Basnet, information officer for the district police office. (RSS)
