PM arriving home today



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who was on a visit to Europe, is scheduled to arrive home on Sunday after wrapping his weeklong sojourn.

PM Oli had embarked on the visit on June 8 to participate in the International Labor Organization Centenary Session. The PM boarded Qatar Airways at 5.00 pm (Nepali time) from Geneva, and will land in Kathmandu at 10:25 am on Sunday, said PM’s press coordinator Chetan Adhikari.

During his visit, he visited the United Kingdom where he addressed a special ceremony organized in the Oxford University. During his visit, he also called on Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and his British counterpart Theresa May. He also held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of France Edouard Philippe.

The Prime Minister’s entourage comprised his spouse Radhika Shakya, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Minister for Employment and Social Security, Gokarna Bista, chief political advisor, Bishnu Rimal, foreign affairs advisor, Dr Rajan Bhattarai, press advisor Kundan Aryal, lawmakers Bimal Prasad Shreewastav and Binda Pandey, among others.
