US Assistant Secy Lu calls on Foreign Minister Khadka



KATHMANDU: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu has called on Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka at the latter’s office on Friday.

Foreign Minister Khadka and Lu discussed development partnership, financial aid, food security and COVID-19 vaccines during the meeting, according to the ministry.

Secretary Lu arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday for a two-day visit. He is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba later today.

Lu previously visited Nepal last November before the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Nepal Compact was endorsed by Nepal’s House of Representatives.

This is his second visit in the last one year.
