Playing cards worth Rs 21.5 million imported to Nepal last fiscal



KATHMANDU: Nepal has imported playing cards worth over Rs 21.5 million from various countries in the previous fiscal year 2021/22.

According to the Customs Department, Nepal imported playing cards of the said value from July 16, 2021, to July 16, 2022 – the span of the fiscal year.

As many as 19,060,547 books of playing cards worth Rs 21.5 million were imported to Nepal in the last fiscal.

According to the department, playing cards are mainly imported from China and India. Cards are also procured from France, Germany, Hungary, among others.
