Monsoon more intense, Kathmandu witnessing rainfall

KATHMANDU: Monsoon has become more active throughout the country.

It’s been raining all over the country including Kathmandu Valley since this morning.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, the effect of monsoon is seen all over the country.

The country is witnessing light to moderate rain while heavy rainfall is witnessed at a couple of places in Lumbini Province.

According to the Division, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning over the country this afternoon.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in some places of Sudurpaschim, Lumbini, Gandaki, Bagmati, and Madhesh Pradesh.

Likewise, on Thursday, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some places of Province 1 and a couple of places in Madhesh Province, Bagmati Province, and Lumbini Province.

Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in the Far West, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki regions on Friday.

The Division has urged people to remain on alert as the water level in rivers, canals and rivers may rise.
