NEPSE increases by 16 points on Tuesday



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has gained 16.03 points and reached 2045.63 points on Tuesday.

The index had gained 18.03 points on Monday.

The NEPSE index that opened at 2029.71 points made an intraday low of 2,028.17 and intraday high of 2,062.36 points to ultimately closed at 2,045.63 points today.

A total of 5,713,248 shares of 213 companies bought and sold throughout the trading day today (Tuesday), resulted in the turnover of more than Rs 2.29 billion. The turnover yesterday was only Rs 1.31 billion.

Shivan Cements Limited had the highest turnover and the shares of Everest Bank Limited traded the most today.

Emerging Nepal Limited gained the highest 8.01 percent as all sector indices closed green. “Finance” gained the highest 2.7 percent while “Mutual Fund” gained the least 0.09 percent.
