Sanphe-Martadi highway blocked



BAJURA: The Sanphe-Martadi highway connecting Bajura district headquarters has been blocked since this morning due to rain for three consecutive days.

The road has been blocked due to rainfall-induced landslides in some parts of the highway.

The road in Amkot has been washed away by a landslide, said Surya Thapa, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office.

Landslides are continuing in Barjugad, Amkot, Tapada, Pani Naula, Olena and other places of the highway.

A team of Nepal Police has been deployed for necessary action, said Thapa.
