PM Deuba-led government claims it ended instability, misgovernance

The government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has claimed it ended political instability and misgovernance caused by the previous CPN-UML government.

The government, in its report released on the occasion of its 100-days, has claimed that the country was able to move forward democratically.

The government has claimed that the local elections were held peacefully within the stipulated time, and that its priority to control COVID-19, and to vaccinate all eligible citizens were also accomplished.

I have not violated human rights so far: UML Chair Oli claims

CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has claimed that he has so far not violated human rights.

At a program organized to mark the 23rd establishment day of Human Rights Alliance today, he claimed that he has not breached any human rights during his political career spanning 57 years.

“I had taken charge of the Home Ministry which is by virtue focused to take things under control. Also I discharged holistic responsibilities as the Prime Minister of the country”, former PM Oli said, adding, “My struggle during my long political career has been for human rights. I have not breached any human rights and will not do so in the future.”

Nepal ranked 19th in ODI yet again

Nepal has maintained its spot in the One-Day International (ODI) by remaining in the 19th spot in the ranking released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) today.

Nepal was ranked 19th last year as well.

One more cholera case in KTM Valley

One more case of cholera has been found in the Kathmandu Valley.

According to Director at Epidemiology and Disease Control Division under the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Chuman Lal Das, cholera was confirmed on one more person from Balkot of Bhaktapur district.

With this, cases of cholera have reached 28 so far.

OAG annual report submitted to President

An annual report of the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) for the fiscal year 2077-78 BS (2020-21) has been presented to the Head-of-the State.

Auditor General Tankamani Sharma Dangal submitted the organization’s 59th annual report to President Bidya Devi Bhandari amidst a program at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Shital Niwas, today.

NEPSE rises by 59.54 points, Wednesday witnesses turnover of Rs 2.4 billion

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has witnessed a double-digit growth of 59.54 points to reach 1986.82 points on Wednesday.

A total of 57,87,126 shares of 225 companies were traded in 32,782 transactions today.

The transaction amount on this day is equal to Rs 2.44 billion.
