I have not violated human rights so far: UML Chair Oli claims

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has claimed that he has so far not violated human rights.

At a program organized to mark the 23rd establishment day of Human Rights Alliance today, he claimed that he has not breached any human rights during his political career spanning 57 years.

“I had taken charge of the Home Ministry which is by virtue focused to take things under control. Also I discharged holistic responsibilities as the Prime Minister of the country”, former PM Oli said, adding, “My struggle during my long political career has been for human rights. I have not breached any human rights and will not do so in the future.”

He further asserted that the political movements waged so far in the country were to protect human rights, adding adopting right course would not only shun political vices but also preserve human rights.

“Human rights are largely protected when the government came up with a commitment to do so”, Oli noted. (RSS)
