KATHMANDU: Witnessing an uptick in COVID-19 cases in the past few days, Nepal recorded a total of 168 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Monday.
Out of the confirmed cases, 129 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 39 through the Antigen method.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,020 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,834 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,186 through the Antigen method.
Currently, there are 770 active cases in the country as 37 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.
No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country remains constant at 11,952 to date.
